Jack Denis Pooley Pinot Noir
Wine
Pooley Jack Denis Pooley Pinot Noir, previously known as the Family Reserve Pinot Noir, is produced only in exceptional years and only in tiny amounts.
In 1985 Jack Denis Pooley and his wife Margaret planted the first seven rows of Pinot Noir on their Cooinda Vale Vineyard. These original vines provide the fruit for this wine.
The grapes are destemmed and fermented in small tanks with daily hand plunging. The wine develops colour and texture on skins for about a week then is aged in new and seasoned French oak barrels.
Vivid crimson, Pooley Jack Denis Pooley Pinot Noir is elegant and complex with strong red fruit flavours and velvety texture. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
